Job Summary Join our dedicated team as a Correction Officer and become a vital part of maintaining safety, security, and order within correctional facilities. In this role, you will oversee inmate activities, enforce facility rules, and ensure the well-being of staff and inmates alike. Your proactive approach and strong sense of responsibility will help create a secure environment where rehabilitation and safety are prioritized. This position offers an exciting opportunity to serve the community while developing essential skills in security, law enforcement, and conflict management. Duties Monitor inmate behavior through surveillance systems to prevent disturbances and ensure safety. Conduct regular patrols within the facility to oversee inmate movements and enforce security protocols. Respond swiftly to incidents or emergencies using first aid, CPR, or law enforcement procedures as needed. Manage conflicts through effective conflict management techniques, de-escalating tense situations calmly and professionally. Write detailed reports documenting incidents, inmate behavior, and security breaches with clarity and accuracy. Enforce facility rules and regulations by conducting searches, inspections, and verifying compliance. Experience Prior experience in law enforcement, military service, security operations, or related fields is preferred but not required Familiarity with report writing, conflict management strategies, and emergency response procedures. Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred to effectively respond to medical emergencies. Demonstrated ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism and composure. Strong communication skills for clear report writing and effective interaction with inmates, staff, and emergency responders. Pay:
$20.00 - $26.00 per hour
