Job Description

Correctional Officer Carrizozo, NM Full-time Salary:
$21.00 Lincoln County Detention Center-Carrizozo, NM, under the management of Correctional Solutions Group, LLC., is seeking a full-time corrections officer. Selected candidates will be responsible for supervising and controlling inmate activity within the correctional facility. Responsibilities include:
Supervises inmates in living areas and recreational activities. Supervises inmates and visitors in visitation areas. Serves as control center officer, coordinates and monitors inmate movements, conduct counts, and provides emergency response. Serves as mail room, field tower, medical security, perimeter security, and/or gate officer as required. Provides security in treatment activities and supervises labor crews in the kitchen and other specialized areas. Ensures prompt and appropriate assistance to inmates in the event of injury, illness, and emotional trauma. Prepares reports and maintains daily logs as required. Initiates disciplinary reports. Conduct shakedown for contraband materials, either individually or as part of a specialized team. Promotes facility cleanliness and reports need for maintenance and/or repairs. Serves as a member of special teams to respond. Performs a variety of marginal duties not listed, to be determined and assigned as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent Must be US Citizen with a valid NM Driver's License Must be emotionally stable, understanding, and philosophically attuned to the objectives of the facility. Must be able to PASS a Drug Test, a Background Check Documents necessary for position: Birth Certificate, DD214 (if prior military), NM Driver's License, Evidence of HS/GED education
