Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and dependable Male Juvenile Detention Officer to join our team and help maintain a safe, secure, and supportive environment for youth in detention. This is an important role that involves supervising male juvenile residents, maintaining safety and security, responding to incidents, enforcing facility rules, and helping provide structure, accountability, and positive guidance.
Duties include:
Supervising male juvenile residents Monitoring behavior and facility activity Conducting security checks, inspections, and searches Responding to conflicts, emergencies, and medical situations Writing accurate reports and documenting incidents Enforcing facility policies and procedures Preparing and serving meals in accordance with facility procedures Assisting with cleaning, sanitation, chores, and general facility maintenance Working weekends, holidays, extended hours, and any shift as needed to meet staffing requirements Preferred experience includes: Law enforcement Security Military Behavioral health Medical Food service Juvenile detention Working with youth Conflict management or crisis response Experience is preferred, but not required. We are willing to train the right person.
Minimum requirements:
Must be 21 years of age or older High school diploma or GED required Valid driver license required Reliable transportation Must pass a thorough background check, reference checks, and all required screenings Must be willing and able to work day shift, night shift, overnight shift, weekends, and holidays.
