Description Open Interviews will be held at PA CareerLink Jefferson County on Tuesday, 06/16/2026 from 10am to 2pm. The overall objective of the position is to supervise, care for and the control of inmates. Responsibilities include the security of the jail, protecting the public, staff and incarcerated individuals, and serving as a liaison between inmates and supervisory staff. High School diploma or equivalent is required. Must be able to pass criminal background and drug tests. Must be a United States citizen and be willing to work different shifts and on an on-call basis. The successful candidate must be willing to work daily with potentially volatile, hostile or aggressive inmates, conduct inmate searches, including body searches, occasionally could be involved in physical confrontations to enforce jail rules, and conduct head counts at specified times.
