Job Description
Ability to perform a variety of commissary functions within the Alleghany County Jail. While performing these actions, all facility policies and procedures must be followed. Ability to respond to inmates concerns in writing. Ability to process orders, hand key orders, inventory control and issue credits as well as record keeping of signed receipts. Applicant must be able to deliver orders to inmates in a timely manner. Prior to starting new employees must attend a paid 8-hour training class at the facility.
Position Requirements:
- Must be able pass a criminal and drug screening
- Computer Literate
- Highly Organized
- Ability to communicate to staff at all levels
- Must be flexible
- Able to lift boxes up to 50 pounds.
- Stand/walk for long periods of time.
- Professional at all times.
- Work first shift
