Base Pay Adjustments Plus Institution Central Bus Terminal - Travel Team •$54,682 - $55,704 •The salary amounts provided represent the minimum and maximum ranges based on years of current agency service plus incentive structures at SCDC. It is important to note that not all individuals may qualify for the highest tier of base pay adjustments and incentives. Provide safe transport of inmates in all custody levels on post convictions relief (PCR), medical appointments, parole, and extradition for all levels of inmates to include Safe-Keepers (SK) and Special Management units (SMU), Security Detention (SD), regional courts, to and from hospitals (male and female). Provide proper use of keys, firearms, chemical munitions, and restraining equipment when necessary and ensure all are in working order. Maintain control of security keys equipment assigned to the hospital. Ensure safe, order and control of security keys/equipment assigned to the hospital. Ensure safe, order and control of inmates housed in community hospital. Inspects post to ensure proper performance of duties. Stay up to date on security status of inmates assigned to the hospital. Responds to complaints and concerns from hospital staff and all other duties assigned by the Division of Security Management. Ensure transportation vehicle are in a high state of readiness, cleaned, and serviceable. Ensure communication devices are operational. Report and correct vehicular deficiencies. May be assigned to work in an institutional setting after transportation assessments are completed. Monitor inmates' movement and relieve officers from post as needed and any other duties of a correctional sergeant duties that may be required. Prepare and submit written documentation and reviews operational and administrative reports when necessary. May be assigned specific duties to ensure cleaning of building, grounds, etc. Proper supervision and control of inmates in the central bus terminal. Perform all essential and marginal functions of the Correctional Officer position as required by the CO post orders of a Central Bus Terminal Officer as needed and all other duties assigned by division of security management. SCDC Minimum Requirements:

Must successfully complete the Correctional Officer Basic Certification Course within first six (6) months of placement into the position.
