Job Description
Job Summary Burnet County is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Jail Facility Officer. This position is responsible for the supervision, safety, and security of inmates housed at the Burnet County Jail facility.
Primary Responsibilities:
Supervise and monitor inmates to maintain safety and security within the facilityEnforce facility rules and regulationsConduct regular inspections of the facilityRespond to emergencies and incidents within the facilityMaintain accurate records and prepare reports as requiredTransport inmates as neededCommunicate effectively with inmates, staff, and the publicPerform other duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED requiredValid Texas Driver's License requiredMust be able to pass a thorough background checkMust be able to pass a psychological evaluationMust be able to work nights, weekends, and holidaysMust be at least 18 years of ageNo felony convictionsPreferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in a correctional facilityTexas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) certificationFirst Aid/CPR certificationBurnet County is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
