In this dynamic role, you will oversee the daily operations of detention units, ensuring the well-being of detainees while enforcing facility policies. Your proactive approach and strong communication skills will help foster a secure environment for staff, detainees, and visitors alike. This position offers an engaging opportunity to serve the community while developing valuable skills in security and law enforcement. Responsibilities Monitor detainees continuously through direct supervision and surveillance systems to ensure safety and compliance with facility rules. Conduct thorough searches of detainees, their living areas, and visitors to prevent contraband from entering the facility. Respond promptly to incidents or disturbances, de-escalating situations with professionalism and tact. Maintain accurate records of detainee activities, incidents, and daily logs to ensure transparency and accountability. Enforce facility policies consistently while demonstrating respectful communication with detainees, staff, and visitors. Assist in transportation procedures for detainees to court hearings or medical appointments, ensuring safety at all times. Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during investigations or emergency responses to uphold security protocols. Experience Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or detention settings is preferred but not mandatory; we value motivated individuals eager to learn. Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert over extended periods. Excellent interpersonal skills to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy. Ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain confidentiality at all times. Physical stamina to stand, walk, and respond quickly in a fast-paced environment.
