YOU MUST LIVE IN EAST BROWARD COUNTY AND HAVE YOUR OWN VEHICLE.
The hourly rate includes travel and is calculated on actual meeting time beginning and end. (I.e., if meeting lasts 1.5 hours, pay is for 1.5 hours inclusive of travel, etc.) As a municipal meeting note taker, your role is crucial in accurately recording the discussions, decisions, and actions taken during the meeting. Approximately 3-4 meetings per month; usually morning or early afternoon. Meetings can last one hour to 5+ hours (rare); availability Monday-Thursday Responsibilities Familiarize yourself with the meeting agenda and any relevant background information. A laptop/tablet for electronic note-taking methods. Listen attentively to discussions, decisions, and actions taken during the meeting. Capture key points, motions, and any amendments made to proposals accurately. The meetings will be held in Fort Lauderdale and/or Boca Raton City Hall. Qualifications Attention to

Note-Taking Skills:
Proficiency in note-taking techniques to efficiently record meeting proceedings in real-time.
Listening Skills:
Strong listening skills to comprehend and capture verbal discussions accurately.
Organizational Skills:
Ability to organize notes in a structured manner, making them easily accessible for reference and distribution.
Time Management:
Efficiently manage time during the meeting to ensure all critical points are recorded while avoiding falling behind.
Communication:
Clear communication skills to effectively convey meeting notes to minutes writers or distribute them as required.
Adaptability:
Flexibility to adapt to different meeting formats, agendas, and topics.
Technology Proficiency:
Familiarity with electronic note-taking.
Accuracy:
Strive for accuracy in recording details such as names, dates, and resolutions to prevent misunderstandings or misinterpretations.
Teamwork:
Collaborate with other meeting participants, such as the chairperson or secretary, to ensure comprehensive note-taking coverage, as well as providing materials to minutes writers.
Flexibility:
Meeting times and days vary; schedule provided monthly (subject to cancellations and reschedules)
