Job Description

The Recorder's Court administer justice with fairness, equality, and integrity, to resolve matters before the court in atimely manner, and to provide courteous and prompt service in a manner that inspires public trust and confidence. Our team of Deputy Court Clerks, Senior Deputy Court Clerks, Court Services Specialists, Chief Deputy Court Clerk, Administrative Clerks, Senior Administrative Assistant, Judicial Secretaries, Cashiers, Case Disposition Clerks, Customer Service Representatives, Court Services Technicians, and director, works collaboratively to maintain a professional court environment and manage the daily operations of the Recorder's Court smoothly while upholding a safe environment where all employees can succeed. As we continue to grow our small team of 28, the Recorder's Court team is seeking a highly qualified, customer service focused Cashier. As our new Cashier, you will assist customers make payments towards City services, while maintaining high levels of organization and professionalism. Women, Minorities, and Veterans Are Encouraged to Apply! Takes payments from customers for various City services. Processes financial transactions; post payments to customer accounts. Assists in sorting and distributing mail. Responds to customers concerns and/or complaints over the phone and/or in person. Receives and records cash, check or credit card payments. Reconciliates of daily receipts. Performs other related duties as assigned.?Requires High School Diploma or GED equivalent supplemented by less than one year of experience in customer service, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, bookkeeping, accounting or related field; or possession of any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities.

8 am - 5 pm. Monday - Friday Additional Requirements Background investigation, including supervised drug screen, post offer/pre-employment medical screen; and verification of education, certifications, and licenses required prior to employment. Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles. Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures. Knowledge of computers and other modern office equipment. Skill in establishing priorities and organizing work. Skill in the operation of computers and other modern office equipment. Skill in public and interpersonal relations.
