Job Description
Title of Position Unit Clerk - Surgery Work Hours Regular Full-Time (Req# 2026-274) Various rotating day and evening shifts, 40 hours per week. Subsidiary Kuakini Medical Center Description of Position Primarily performs clerical and reception duties, manning activities at the front desk and maintaining clerical supplies and equipment for the department. Works under the direction of a licensed nursing professional. Qualifications and Requirements High school diploma, or equivalent, required. Typing, computer keyboard and calculator skills highly recommended. Minimum six (6) months experience in hospital setting or medical field with knowledge of medical terminology preferred; or any combination of education and experience which would provide the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to meet the minimum qualifications to perform the essential functions of this position. Requires successful completion of hospital orientation classes as well as full-time 4-week orientation/training on assigned unit.
