ELECTION TECHNICIAN A, B or C (District 12)

The mission of the Secretary of State's office is to serve the public by fulfilling its legal responsibilities of collecting, securing, and communicating information that enhances commerce, ensures the integrity of Louisiana's elections, and preserves, presents, and makes accessible government information essential to Louisiana's operations and its recorded history. The Secretary of State is seeking an Election Technician A, B or C for the Election's Field District 12 Section. This position is responsible for maintenance/storage of election equipment within District 12 (Assumption, Lafourche, St. James & Terrebonne Parishes). No experience or training is required. Job Duties:

Performs work required to maintain operable election equipment for use during elections. Provides assistance in training sessions for commissioners. Assists in preparing service call reports which include nature of calls, problems, remedies and times of departure and arrival at the polling locations. Trains to interpret ballot layout and ballot design used for printing of ballots and programming of election equipment.
