Documents, maintains, and preserves required records and statistics as it pertains to departmental operations. Ensures compliance with any or all applicable laws, statutes, and regulations; policies, and may update staff or work group on applicable changes. Recommends and/or develops departmental policies and procedures. Maintains and updates files. Manages special projects as directed. Stenographically records testimony of all court proceedings as requested by attorney(s) and/or the Court. Performs all other related duties involved in the operation of the business as assigned or required. TO APPLY, must have an Associate's degree + three (3) full-time years of related work experience. -OR- TO APPLY, must have a High School Diploma or GED + five (5) full-time years of related work experience.TO APPLY
, must have and maintain a current certification by the State of Texas as a certified shorthand reporter (CSR). A CSR License is issued by the Texas Supreme Court upon completion of Court Reporting School and testing by the Texas Court Reporters Certification Board . Must provide licensing agency and license number in "certificates and licensing" section of the application or be disqualified. If hired, must provide proof of educational attainment or licensure at On-boarding.NOTE:

arrant County will conduct background checks on new hires that will include a criminal background check related to convictions and deferred adjudications in the past seven years and may include credit reports, motor vehicle records, employment records and educational attainment. A conviction or deferred adjudication is not an automatic bar to employment. Each case is considered individually.
