Job Description
Summary The King County Prosecuting Attorney's Office is looking for highly motivated individual to join our team as a Legal Records Professional in our Records Unit. The Legal Records Professional is a mission-critical position that performs complex office operations, including detailed steps requiring considerable specialized knowledge. This individual is part of a team, rotating responsibilities monthly. The position requires the Legal Records Professional to attend court hearings daily to provide administrative assistance to deputy prosecuting attorneys. These positions require highly developed skills in attention to detail and retrieval of information from a variety of sources. Current office policy, procedure, and Washington State law must be understood and applied at a complex level. The Legal Records Professionals handle assigned workloads independently with minimal direct supervision. Responsibilities in this job require attention to detail, where the consequences of errors are great. Work requires considerable liaison with attorneys, filing staff, co-workers, court personnel, detention officers, law enforcement agencies, and the public. The position requires in-person work at the Maleng Regional Justice Center, 401 4th Ave N, Kent, WA 98032. Employees assigned to these positions are deemed Mission Critical. Mission-critical employees are those who provide for and maintain the essential functions of the PAO. Mission-critical employees must be available to perform their duties as determined by management.Work Schedule:
This position works a 40-hour work week schedule, normally Monday-Friday, this position rotates court calendars/positions monthly within the Records Unit. Schedules will vary based upon the rotation: Investigation Calendar; Omnibus Calendar; Arraignment Calendar; Competency Calendar; Front Desk 8:00 am- 5:00 pm (Assist with Holiday Investigation court calendar)
Salary:
Range 47- $36.21 (step one)
- $45.90 (step ten) hourly
Union Membership:
Positions in this classification are represented by Teamsters Local No. 117.Application Process:

Selection Process:

prepare arraignment calendar, assist attorneys in court, docket accurate court calendars information for completion, and updating data entry.Omnibus Calendar:
8:00 a.m- 5:00 p.
Omnibus:
prepare omnibus calendar, docket, updated completed guilty pleas, and heavy data entry.Front Desk:
8:00 a.m- 5:00 p.
