This position is ideal for students or graduates in criminal justice, law enforcement, or related fields seeking on-the-job experience in community supervision and compliance monitoring. Responsibilities Administer observed drug screens for individuals on probation or parole, ensuring chain-of-custody procedures are strictly followed. Verify client identity and legal documentation for scheduled testing.

Accurately log and label samples in accordance with state and agency requirements. Maintain clear and confidential records of testing, attendance, and compliance. Communicate effectively with probation officers, case managers, and agency partners. Monitor client behavior for signs of tampering or noncompliance and report concerns. Maintain cleanliness, order, and security of testing environment. Assist with monthly reporting and data entry for court or agency documentation. Uphold all HIPAA and confidentiality standards. Participate in ongoing training related to drug trends, ethics, and justice-involved populations. Requirements Currently enrolled in or completed a degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, or a related field. Interest in probation, parole, reentry services, or law enforcement careers. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

High level of attention to detail and integrity. Ability to maintain professionalism and neutrality when working with justice-involved individuals. Reliable transportation and punctuality are required. Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen. Strong skills in report writing and documentation practices. Experience in crisis management with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Familiarity with law enforcement protocols is a plus. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. A commitment to ethical practices and client confidentiality.
Pay:
$16.00 - $17.00 per hour
