Overview Join our dynamic team as a Criminal Justice - Electronic Monitoring Installer, where you will play a vital role in enhancing community safety through the installation and maintenance of electronic monitoring devices. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work directly with law enforcement agencies, juvenile justice systems, and social services to ensure offenders comply with court-ordered supervision. Your expertise will help foster accountability and support rehabilitation efforts while promoting public safety. Duties Install, calibrate, and maintain electronic monitoring equipment such as ankle bracelets and GPS devices for clients under community supervision. Conduct site assessments and ensure proper placement of monitoring devices according to procedural law and safety standards. Collaborate with law enforcement officers, probation officers, and social workers to coordinate client monitoring plans. Provide clear instructions and conduct client interviews to explain device usage, responsibilities, and compliance expectations. Troubleshoot technical issues with monitoring devices promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to supervision plans. Document all installation activities, client interactions, and device status updates accurately in case management systems using Microsoft Office tools. Perform routine vehicle inspections and operate standard passenger cars safely during field visits to client locations. Skills Strong knowledge of criminal law, procedural law, and criminal procedure related to community supervision. Experience with juvenile justice systems, court procedures, and social services integration. Proficiency in report writing, report preparation, and case management documentation. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to interview clients effectively and handle sensitive situations with professionalism. Familiarity with social work principles, crisis management techniques, and motivational interviewing strategies. Ability to operate firearms safely in law enforcement contexts when required for security purposes. Working knowledge of legal terminology relevant to community supervision cases. Skilled in using Microsoft Office applications for documentation and communication purposes. Benefits Vigilnet provides benefit options to best suit the employee's needs.
