As a Fingerprint Technician, you will handle sensitive information with integrity, contribute to criminal justice processes, and support law enforcement agencies through expert analysis and court testimony. Your expertise will help bring clarity and resolution to investigations, making a meaningful impact on public safety. Responsibilities Collect, document, and analyze fingerprint evidence from crime scenes and forensic laboratories using specialized techniques. Perform fingerprint comparison and analysis to identify individuals or exclude suspects with high accuracy. Maintain detailed records of all fingerprint examinations and analysis procedures in accordance with procedural law. Prepare comprehensive reports detailing findings, methodologies, and conclusions for use in criminal investigations and court proceedings. Provide expert testimony in court based on forensic fingerprint analysis, ensuring clarity and professionalism. Utilize forensic photography skills to capture high-quality images of evidence for documentation purposes. Follow strict evidence handling protocols to preserve the integrity of fingerprint samples and related data. Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during crime scene investigations, contributing technical expertise to support ongoing cases. Qualifications Proven experience in forensic laboratory settings or related fields such as computer forensics or criminal investigation. Strong knowledge of fingerprint analysis, comparison techniques, and forensic investigation procedures. Familiarity with crime scene investigation methods and proper evidence collection practices. Ability to interpret procedural law related to evidence handling and forensic procedures. Excellent analysis skills with keen attention to detail for accurate fingerprint comparison. Experience providing court testimony as an expert witness is highly desirable. Proficiency in forensic photography and report writing to document findings clearly and professionally.
