Qualifications:

Lakeland Joint School District is seeking a strong, compassionate, and professional Armed District Safety Specialist who is committed to building positive relationships with students, staff, and parents. The ideal candidate will demonstrate sound judgment, strong communication skills, and a background in law enforcement. Preferred Qualifications Strong law enforcement background Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and families Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Professional demeanor with the ability to remain calm under pressure Possession of an Enhanced Concealed Weapons Permit Employment Requirements Prior to employment, selected candidates must successfully complete: Polygraph examination Psychological evaluation Physical fitness evaluation Criminal background check Work schedules will generally follow the school calendar, with additional required training during summer months.
