You'll Bring:
5+ years of leadership experience managing teams in a compliance, AML, risk, or financial crimes environment Deep knowledge of BSA/AML regulations, KYC requirements, transaction monitoring, and suspicious activity identification Experience evaluating investigations, determining escalation paths, and supporting SAR recommendation decisions Strong understanding of financial crimes typologies and red flag indicators across various transaction types Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in financial services, investigations, compliance, criminal justice, or a related field Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications Strong analytical, research, documentation, and decision-making capabilities Ability to interpret large data sets and identify unusual activity patterns Excellent written communication and case narrative skills
Preferred Experience:
CAMS, CFE, or comparable industry certifications Background supporting operational, consulting, or shared-services environments Experience leading teams through high-volume case review projects while maintaining quality and productivity standards Proven ability to manage team performance, workload balancing, and service delivery expectations.
Core Responsibilities:
In this role, you'll provide leadership and oversight to a team of investigators and senior investigators responsible for financial crimes reviews and investigations. You'll coach and develop team members, monitor productivity and quality metrics, and ensure cases are completed within established timelines and client expectations. The Pod Lead is responsible for assigning workloads, conducting performance discussions, leading team meetings, reviewing escalated investigations, and providing actionable feedback based on quality findings. This individual will also participate in case reviews, perform root cause analysis on quality control findings, prepare operational reporting, and help drive continuous improvement initiatives. Success in this position requires balancing operational leadership with hands-on investigative expertise while fostering a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing team culture. The role typically includes reviewing and approving investigative work, managing escalations, tracking performance metrics, and supporting project goals through strong leadership and regulatory knowledge.
