Description Summary of Duties:

Family Service & Children's Aid Society is currently seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Law Enforcement Liaison to provide services through PPC Violence Free Network at 160 Prospect Avenue, Franklin, PA 16323. Applicants should have an understanding of victims of domestic violence, sexual violence and other serious crimes. The Liaison's role is to ensure that program participants' needs are assessed, and appropriate services are provided to the consumer. The LEL will provide direct first response services to victims internally as well as outside of the office, including medical facilities and law enforcement agencies. The work schedule can vary and include evening and weekend hours based on consumer needs. This position reports directly to the Program Director of PPC. This position also reports indirectly to the Executive Director of Family Service & Children's Aid Society. The LEL will advocate with law enforcement agencies and the criminal just system on a regular basis.

Required Skills, Qualifications and Abilities:

Education/Training Requirements-Must meet one of the below requirements: Valid PA driver's license PA Child's Abuse History Clearance (PA Act 33) PA State Police Request for Criminal Records Check (PA Act 34) FBI Federal Fingerprint Record Check (Act 73) Pre-Employment drug screening Bachelor's degree (or equivalent training and experience) in psychology, rehabilitation, social work, sociology, or applicable behavioral science field is preferred. Minimum of one year experience in a human services setting. Law Enforcement training preferred Act 34-73-151 Clearances Required Knowledge of the criminal justice system.
