Job Description

Senior Financial Investigator Ruchman and Associates, Inc United States, Virginia, Arlington May 15, 2026 Position Description Senior Financial Investigator will support the Drug Enforcement Administration Diversion Control Division, a Federal law enforcement agency, in the analysis of complex financial and business records to support Federal diversion related investigations, prosecutions, and the seizure and forfeiture of illegally derived property. The Senior Investigator will organize and conduct detailed examinations of information generated during complex financial criminal/civil investigations and information available through alternative sources for the purpose of conducting financial analyses of personal/business assets of targeted organizations/individuals. The Senior Investigator will utilize information obtained as a result of the financial analysis and prepare documentation for use by law enforcement personnel pursuing civil and criminal matters. The Senior Investigator will provide mentorship, peer-reviewing, and other relevant technical counsel to other Investigators. Qualified candidates must possess the following: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, criminal justice, or related field as determined by DEA.
Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in financial investigations, preferably with Federal law enforcement.
Demonstrated experience in chemical or pharmaceutical-related financial crimes. Proficiency with financial databases, forensic accounting software, and analytical tools.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including demonstrated experience with report writing and courtroom testimony.
Working knowledge of current financial investigation techniques.
Security clearance required
US Citizenship
