JOB DESCRIPTION

To provide assistance to students at specified crosswalks, promoting safe pedestrian traffic procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

Interest in children, their education, and their safety. Good physical condition, including adequate vision and hearing necessary to fulfill performance responsibilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Complete district in-service training program before assuming responsibility for the crosswalk. Establish and maintain good student conduct at the crosswalk. Assure that students walk in the crosswalk. Be on duty at the designated times to promote timely routines for students. Report unsafe student behavior in or near the crosswalk to the principal. Set up crossing signs as needed. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

SALARY:

Part-time nine-month position, beginning salary Level 24, employee benefits in accordance with Board Policies.

EVALUATION

Performance to be evaluated in accordance with Board Policy on the evaluation of support personnel.
