Immediately Job Description Durango School District is accepting applications for a Green Team Advisor for the 2026-2027 school year. Begins ASAP. Green Team Sponsor 2026 - 2027 School Year Stipend for the year = $1,000.00
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Organize, Facilitate, and supervise the Green Team for the school. Implement and facilitate the Green Team application process as developed by the Green Team Lead for the school district. Ensure meetings are held with the Green Team twice per month, after school. Meetings should be at least 45 minutes in length, but may be longer to facilitate necessary work and projects of the team. Facilitate the building level Green Team project selection process with the students at the start of the school year. Develop a project plan for the work of the Green Team for the year. Assist Green Team students in managing and monitoring their identified projects. Assists students in developing and facilitating school sponsored events during the school year to highlight the initiatives of the building level Green Team. Assist Green Team students in developing a quarterly newsletter to highlight their initiatives and progress on their work plan for the year. Coordinate and communicate with the Green Team Lead for the school district. Attend meetings with the Green Team Lead once per month. Participate in the start of year kick off event and the end of year celebration facilitated by the Green Team Lead for the school district. Supervise students in Green Team meetings and events. As necessary, recruit and organize volunteers to assist with the building level Green Team. Communicate with parents/guardians of Green Team students.
