Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Cafeteria Monitor to ensure a safe, orderly, and positive dining environment for students during school meals. In this vital role, you will supervise students in the cafeteria, enforce school policies, and promote respectful behavior. Your proactive approach will help create a welcoming atmosphere where students can enjoy their meals safely and comfortably. Responsibilities Supervise students during breakfast and lunch periods, ensuring they follow school rules and maintain appropriate behavior Enforce school policies related to conduct, safety regulations, and meal procedures Manage student behavior using effective conflict management and behavior management techniques, especially for students with special education needs or behavioral challenges Support students with physical disabilities or special needs by providing necessary assistance in accordance with safety regulations and best practices Communicate effectively with students, staff, parents, and other stakeholders regarding behavioral concerns or safety issues Implement evacuation procedures and emergency response protocols when necessary to ensure student safety Maintain confidentiality of student information while documenting incidents or behavioral issues accurately and professionally Skills Knowledge of first aid and CPR to respond promptly in medical emergencies Experience working with children, including those with disabilities or special education needs Strong conflict management skills to handle disputes calmly and effectively Ability to enforce school policies consistently while demonstrating patience and understanding Excellent communication skills for interacting with students, staff, parents, and emergency responders Familiarity with behavior management strategies tailored for students with behavioral or physical disabilities Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while maintaining professionalism in all interactions Join us as a Cafeteria Monitor and be part of a team dedicated to creating a safe, inclusive, and positive environment where every student can thrive during their mealtime experience!
