Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and vigilant Security/Hall Monitor to ensure the safety and well-being of our students, staff, and visitors. This role involves maintaining a secure campus environment by monitoring hallways, entrances, and common areas, while actively managing student behavior and responding promptly to any incidents. The ideal candidate will be proactive, observant, and committed to creating a positive school atmosphere. Responsibilities Monitor hallways, entry points, and common areas to ensure safety and orderliness throughout the campus Enforce school policies by supervising student conduct and addressing behavioral issues in a calm and professional manner Respond swiftly to emergencies or conflicts, utilizing conflict management skills to de-escalate situations effectively Assist with first aid or CPR in case of medical emergencies until professional help arrives Maintain accurate incident reports and log daily activities related to security and student behavior Support loss prevention efforts by preventing theft or unauthorized access on campus Qualifications Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure Excellent observational skills with attention to detail in monitoring campus activity Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods while maintaining alertness throughout shift Join us at Jeremiah Academy, where your vigilance helps create a safe learning environment!
