Job Description
The purpose of this classification is to ensure a safe and efficient movement of vehicles and pedestrians throughout school zones. The following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of the duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification. Other duties may be required and assigned. Assist children and adults at school street crossings; Expedite the movement of children and traffic to and from the school. This position only works during the regular school calendar and while school is in session; Incumbent usually works 10-20 hours per week. Performs other related duties as required. High school diploma or GED is required; Completion of the Henry County Police Training Division Traffic Direction Training (one day course).
