PRIOR EXPERIENCE
High School diploma and the ability to positively interact with staff and elementary school aged children
PLACEMENT
: Walden Elementary School, Wilmot Elementary School, or Kipling Elementary School
JOB OVERVIEW
Coordinates the visual environment of the production while guiding students through the creative and technical process of set construction. This role works closely with the Music Director and Assistant Director to ensure the physical stage aligns with the artistic vision and pacing of the show.
Key Responsibilities:
Practice Facilitation:
Plan and run weekly practice sessions to guide students through Instant Challenge materials, team-building exercises, and critical thinking skills.
On-Site Logistics:
Secure weekly rehearsal spaces within the school, coordinate student dismissal/pickup logistics, and manage basic building supplies or prop storage.
District Liaison:
Partner directly with the District DI Coordinator to submit team information, track student rosters, and finalize tournament registrations.
Team Supervision:
Monitor student safety and ensure a collaborative, student-led environment that respects DI's "No Interference" policy. The mental demands, physical demands, and work environment characteristics are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
