In this dynamic position, you will supervise student behavior during rides, assist with boarding and disembarking procedures, and promote a safe and respectful environment. Your energetic presence will help foster a welcoming atmosphere for students while maintaining safety protocols throughout the journey. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in students' daily lives while developing valuable skills in conflict management, behavior management, and communication. Duties Supervise students during transportation to ensure safety and proper conduct on buses and at bus stops Assist students with boarding and exiting buses, ensuring adherence to safety procedures Manage student behavior through positive reinforcement and conflict resolution techniques Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff regarding transportation concerns or incidents Monitor transportation routes for safety hazards or irregularities and report issues promptly Support students with special needs or those requiring additional assistance, including those in special education programs Maintain order during transit by implementing behavior management strategies and classroom-like discipline when necessary Skills Experience working with children or students in educational or childcare settings Strong communication skills to interact effectively with diverse groups of students, parents, and staff Knowledge of conflict management techniques to handle behavioral challenges calmly and professionally Ability to perform basic first aid in case of minor injuries or emergencies during transit Familiarity with behavior management strategies and classroom experience is preferred Understanding of special education needs to support students requiring additional accommodations Demonstrated ability to remain alert, responsible, and proactive in a fast-paced environment This role is perfect for motivated individuals passionate about supporting student safety and well-being.
