Job Description

Job Summary The Recess & Lunch Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of students during lunch and recess periods from 10:15am-1:15pm, Monday-Friday beginning August 31st . This position involves supervising students, promoting positive behavior, and assisting with conflict resolution in a school environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and possess strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, staff, and parents. Duties Supervise students during lunch and recess to ensure a safe and positive environment. Assist with conflict management and behavior management among students. Provide first aid as needed and respond to any medical emergencies. Support students with special needs by implementing appropriate strategies for inclusion. Communicate effectively with teachers and staff regarding student behavior or concerns. Engage with students in a positive manner to promote social interaction and teamwork. Monitor student activities to ensure compliance with school rules and policies. Assist in maintaining cleanliness in the dining area and playground. Requirements Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is preferred. Knowledge of first aid practices is essential. Familiarity with special education practices is a plus. Strong conflict management skills to handle disputes among students effectively. Excellent communication skills for interacting with students, staff, and parents. Experience in behavior management techniques is beneficial. Classroom experience or teaching background is desirable but not mandatory. A passion for working with students and fostering a supportive learning environment. This position requires dedication to creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing atmosphere for all students during their midday break.
