Non-Exempt Position Summary:
The Noon Duty Aide for Kansas City Public Schools supports staff and students by monitoring student activities, setting up the cafeteria before, during, and after lunch, and assisting children during each school lunch session. This role is essential for maintaining an orderly and safe environment during meal times and transitions.
What You'll Be Doing:
(Responsibilities)
Student Supervision & Support:
Assist children when entering the cafeteria during their lunch period in an orderly fashion. Receive children from the classroom teachers for the lunch period. Make sure each child receives utensils, milk, juice, and other supplies. Assure that children empty their trays when finished. Assure the children line up for recess or next activity at the appointed time. Assist as needed or instructed by the Administrator.
Cafeteria Management:
Must report 30 minutes prior to the first lunch session and remain 30 minutes after the last session to ensure the cleanliness and order of the cafeteria. Other duties as assigned.

High school diploma
Skills & Abilities:
Excellent communication and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to work well with teachers, students, and administrators.
Physical Demands:
This job requires that the employee be able to: sit, stand, walk, speak, hear, use hands, fingers, reach with hands and fingers; bend, stoop, lift objects of at least ten pounds. The job requires the employee occasionally to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Visual ability requires mono and color vision, close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
