Job Summary Immaculate Conception, a Catholic elementary school within the Archdiocese of St. Louis, is seeking caring and responsible individuals to serve as Lunch Recess Monitors for the 2026-2027 school year. The Playground Monitor plays a vital role in ensuring the safety, well-being, and positive social interactions of students during lunch recess.
Job Responsibilities Supervise students during outdoor and/or indoor recess between 11:15 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. Promote safe and respectful play while maintaining a positive and structured environment. Monitor student behavior, redirect as necessary, and report any concerns to the appropriate school personnel. Provide basic first aid when needed and follow emergency procedures if required. Help maintain a clean and safe play area by reporting hazards or unsafe conditions. Collaborate with fellow monitors and school staff to ensure effective supervision. Job Requirements Must enjoy working with children and have a calm, attentive presence. Dependable, punctual, and able to manage groups of children with fairness and consistency. Prior experience in a school or childcare setting is helpful but not required. Completion of Archdiocese of St. Louis Safe Environment training and background check required prior to start.
