Monday-Friday ( Morning 7:30am-9:15am/ Afternoon 2:30pm-4:15pm))
Salary :
$16.00 Hourly
REQUIREMENTS
: Knowledge of the safety precautions to be taken in the movement and direction of children at intersections. Ability to deal with children, to remain calm and decisive in emergency situations, read, write, and speak English sufficiently to perform duties of this position. Ability to understand, carry out written and oral instructions, clearly observe vehicle and pedestrian traffic at acceptable distances and to hear at an acceptable level. Ability to work independently with minimum supervision, display good judgment and respond quickly to emergencies. Maintain a neat and clean appearance while on school posts and wear clothing appropriate for the weather conditions. Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather conditions, also able to endure standing for long periods of time. Additional requirements as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES
: School Traffic Guards help children safely cross busy intersections on their way to and from school, and control traffic flow around schools in the morning and at the end of the school day.
