Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Monitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of students in various settings. This position involves supervising students, managing behavior, and providing support to enhance their educational experience. The Monitor will work closely with educators and staff to create a positive learning environment. Responsibilities Supervise students during classroom activities, lunch, recess, and other school events to ensure safety and compliance with school policies. Communicate effectively with students, educators, and parents to foster a supportive atmosphere. Educate students on appropriate behavior and conflict resolution strategies. Implement behavior management techniques to address and redirect inappropriate behaviors. Assist in the development of individualized support plans for students with special needs. Provide first aid as necessary and respond to emergencies in accordance with established protocols. Collaborate with teachers and staff to monitor student progress and provide feedback on behavioral issues. Maintain a clean and organized environment conducive to learning. Qualifications Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is preferred. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, staff, and parents. Knowledge of behavior management techniques and conflict resolution strategies. Experience in special education is a plus but not required. Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations with professionalism. First aid certification is desirable; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held. A passion for working with students and contributing positively to their educational journey.
