Job Description
If you enjoy working with and around students, the Arlington Central School District is currently recruiting for a full-time School Monitor at our LaGrange Middle School, which includes a full benefits package. This is considered a 10-month position and the hours are from 8:45am-4:45pm when school is in session. The position involves responsibility for the routine supervision and care of school-age children as well as the maintenance of order and discipline in a school. Bilingual (Spanish/English) candidates are encouraged to apply. Typical work may include but is not limited to the following: Patrolling school lobbies and corridors; Maintaining order in hallways, study halls, dining areas, gymnasiums, etc.; Issuance and checking of passes; Intervenes in classroom confrontations and student fights if necessary, attempt to calm students removed from class for disciplinary reasons; May escort students to and from special appointments; Informs superiors of observations of student behavior; Related work as required.
