Ponterio Ridge Street School, an elementary school in the Blind Brook-Rye school district, is seeking a full-time School Monitor to work morning and afternoon hours five days per week (Monday-Friday). This is a 10-month position that starts August 31st . Generally, working hours will be 7:30- 3:30 pm. Monitors are responsible for supporting the health and safety needs of our students and school by monitoring security at the entry into the building. Duties will include traffic control, student lunch supervision, hallway, bathroom & public space patrols. Candidates should possess the following qualifications:
  • Previous experience working with children
  • Patience
  • Gentle but firm demeanor
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • A desire to help students learn and grow from their mistakes Candidates with prior law enforcement and/or security experience are encouraged to apply.
