This role is essential in ensuring a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning experience for the student.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Previous experience working as a paraprofessional in schools is highly valued. Strong commitment to student safety, advocacy, and positive engagement. Reliability and punctuality, especially for consistent morning starts. Effective communication skills with students, staff, and transportation personnel. Ability to maintain professionalism and a caring attitude throughout the school day.
Role Highlights & Responsibilities:
Meet the assigned student each morning at the high school. Accompany the student on the bus to Tolles and back in the afternoon, ensuring a safe transit experience. Provide support and encouragement during transitions, maintaining student focus and well-being. Collaborate with teachers and other staff to support the student's academic and personal needs during the school day. Assist with daily routines and adapt to the unique requirements of the student. This position offers a structured weekday schedule from approximately 7:30 am to 2:30 pm, making it ideal for those who value work-life balance and wish to make a direct impact in a school environment.
