This position is responsible for the supervision of students in the cafeteria. Look for the link in the job posting and apply today!
Essential Functions:
Supervise students in cafeteria during lunch to maintain a safe and orderly environment. Enforce appropriate student behavior in compliance with the school district's discipline code, the building discipline practices, and any other behavioral expectations sanctioned by the principal. Assume responsibility for the orderliness of the cafeteria: i.e. students in lunch line, students returning trays, cleaning of cafeteria tables, opening containers, supplying utensils and napkins as needed, and taking care of any other needs the students may have where necessary. Follow building procedures for the dismissal of students at the end of each lunch period. Maintain communication with the team leader, area supervisor, principal, teachers, security, and students regarding student behavioral issues. Enforce building procedures for visitors and parents who come into the cafeteria. All visitors must sign in at the office and have a pass or badge visible when entering. Assume responsibility for students in the cafeteria during a fire drill or any other emergency evacuations. Work in cooperation with the SNS team including the kitchen employees and cafeteria monitors/partner(s) to complete the day's work. May be required to assist in the kitchen as needed, for example assisting the dish room, filling condiments, cleaning and sanitizing as needed. Work effectively with coworkers including food service and custodial staff to promote an effective lunchroom environment. Attend scheduled meetings and in-service days as required.
