Job Description

The Bald Eagle Area School District is looking for an Anticipated Noon-Time Aide at Wingate Elementary. The position is for 3.75 hours a day. If you enjoy working with children, having your summer's off, and enjoy the BEA community, this job is for you!
POSITION SUMMARY
: Under direction of the school principal, the Noontime Aide supports the safe, orderly, and positive supervision of students during lunch and recess periods. This role ensures student safety, encourages respectful behavior, and helps maintain a welcoming environment in cafeterias, playgrounds, and school common areas.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
: Supervise students in the cafeteria, playground, hallways, and other assigned areas during lunch and recess. Assist students with seating, opening food items, lining up, and transitioning between spaces. Monitor and reinforce school behavior expectations; provide positive guidance and redirection as needed. Address minor behavioral issues and report significant concerns to appropriate school staff. Promote safe play and help facilitate conflict resolution among students. Ensure timely cleanup of cafeteria tables, spills, and trash; assist with maintaining an orderly lunch environment. Respond to minor student injuries with basic first aid and notify school nurse as needed. Follow all school safety procedures, emergency protocols, and reporting requirements. Communicate effectively with students, staff, and administrators. Perform other duties as assigned by supervising staff.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Ability to supervise and interact positively with children. Ability to remain calm, patient, and consistent when managing student behavior. Reliability and punctuality.
Preferred:
Experience working with children in school, childcare, or community settings.
