Function:

To Supervise students, under the direction of the building principal, during breakfast and/or lunch periods in the cafeteria, lavatories, and on school grounds; to assist in providing an orderly means of distributing meals and in the disposal of trash and cleaning of the cafeteria area.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Report to work promptly. 2. Complete time sheets with school secretary on a daily basis. 3. Provide supervision of children during lunch and/or breakfast periods. 4. Ensure that trays are emptied properly into proper receptacles including recycling. 5. Clean/sanitize tables between servings and at the conclusion of the breakfast and/or lunch periods. 6. Spot clean the floor during and at the end of the breakfast and lunch periods. 7. Minimize movement of students during lunch period by assisting them in obtaining straws, napkins, utensils, etc. 8. Give directions to students in a quiet, firm and positive manner. 9. At no time are you allowed to physically restrain a student. 10. At all times, your behavior should model appropriate school behaviors. 11. While on playground duty, be sure to move about so that all areas of the playground are visually supervised. 12. Perform other general related tasks as may be assigned. 13. Works the schedule as assigned by building principal.
