Job Description:
The Cafeteria Monitor is a part-time position that supervises the students at lunch, enforcing responsible behavior in the lunchroom. To accomplish these tasks the Cafeteria Monitor works closely with the Food Services Department.
Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalent preferred Food handler's certification required Experience working in food service at school or public setting Ability to problem solve and/or seek help if necessary Excellent communication skills: bilingual Spanish preferred

Duties:
Ability to supervise lunch periods to ensure appropriate and responsible behavior Ability to communicate, work effectively and cooperatively with members of the school district, scholars, and community utilizing appropriate customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to react to change and frequent interruptions in a productive and positive manner, meeting deadlines as assigned. Ability to implement and follow all District health and safety policies, including all precautions of the Bloodborne Pathogens Exposure Control Plan. Ability to respond to information requests in a cooperative, courteous, and timely manner. Ability to ensure all activities conform to District guidelines. Ability to work to implement the vision and mission of the District. Ability to encourage responsible behavior. Ability to observe and follow all school district policies at all times. Physical Requirements:
