Student Supervisors are expected to:
Maintain thorough knowledge of and follow service desk procedures and Underground and Texas Union rules, regulations, and policies. Follow established cash-handling procedures and maintain accurate records, including sign-in/sign-out logs, drawer balancing, deposits, and related documentation. Provide student staff with assistance, direction, and guidance as needed. Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for employees and guests. Become proficient in the Underground's computerized lane control system. Learn basic pinsetter functions and assist with identifying and correcting common operational problems. Assist management with monthly inventory of retail merchandise and other stock. Conduct weekly inventories of office supplies, worksheets, forms, and other operational materials, and report low stock with sufficient time for replenishment. Complete routine responsibilities and special projects with minimal direction. Assist professional staff with assessing student employee performance and preparing employee evaluations. Perform opening, closing, evening transition, and other supervisory shift responsibilities as operationally necessary.
