Champlain Elementary School in the Burlington School District seeks a reliable Student Activity Monitor who enjoys working with children while maintaining a safe school climate. The ideal candidate will be familiar with the IAA community and may already be working part-time in the district. Duties Establish positive relationships with all students equally. Teach and reinforce cafeteria expectations. Teach and reinforce recess expectations. Collaborate and communicate with other lunch monitors, teachers, and administration.
Work Hours:
This is a school-year position that begins August 26th, 2026. Hours are 11:30am - 1:00pm on every school day. May vary depending on school schedule.

These are the physical and mental/reasoning requirements of the position as it is typically performed. Lifting/carrying up to 40 lbs.; pushing/pulling objects Standing, sitting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, balancing Possible exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust, fumes, or hazardous materials Work at heights or around electrical/mechanical equipment Basic sense of touch, smell, and taste Works independently and collaboratively with regular face-to-face interaction
