Job Description
Riverside Middle School is seeking a Crossing Guard to assist students to cross the road safely before and after school. Morning shift will be from 7:30 a.m. and the afternoon shift will be from approximately 2:30 to 3:00. Job Requirements Include, but are not limited to:
- Maintain a safe environment for students walking to and from school.
- Ensure that students and motorists follow safety laws so that students are provided with a safe environment to prevent injuries.
- Stop vehicles to allow students to cross at specific locations.
- Give understandable signals and direction to regulate the flow of vehicular and pedestrian traffic and use judgment in those duties to avoid unnecessary traffic tie-ups and to safeguard the students.
