High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred, experience working with adolescents in an educational or youth setting, strong classroom management and behavior intervention skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to remain calm, fair, and consistent in high-stress situations, basic computer skills (Google, student information systems, etc.)Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in a school discipline, ISS, or alternative education setting, training in restorative practices, PBIS, or de-escalation techniques, knowledge of adolescent development and trauma-informed practicesResponsibilities:
Supervise students assigned to ISS throughout the school day Maintain a structured, orderly, and distraction-free environment Enforce school rules, expectations, and ISS procedures consistently Address and de-escalate student behavior using appropriate strategies Document student behavior and incidents accurately Ensure students complete assigned coursework during ISS Communicate with teachers to collect and return student assignments Provide basic academic assistance when needed Monitor student progress and productivity throughout the day Communicate regularly with administrators, teachers, counselors, and parents as needed Participate in student behavior interventions and support plans Maintain accurate records of ISS attendance, assignments, and behavior logs Maintain ISS procedures and expectations aligned with school policy Track ISS data and provide reports to administration Assist in developing behavior improvement strategies for repeat offendersApplication Process:
