Job Description

PURPOSE:
The Quality Analyst supports the Quality Management System (QMS) within an aerospace manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for preparing and validating First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) in accordance with AS9102 requirements, as well as developing detailed inspection plans and documentation to support production and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and experienced in aerospace quality standards and documentation requirements.
Responsibilities:
First Article Inspection (FAI) & AS9102 Compliance Prepare and review First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) in compliance with AS9102. Balloon engineering drawings and ensure traceability between drawing characteristics and inspection results. Verify material certifications, special process certifications, and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy. Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality Inspectors to resolve discrepancies. Maintain organized electronic and physical FAI records per company and customer retention requirements. Assist with internal, customer, and third-party audits. Inspection Sheet & Quality Documentation Development Create detailed inspection sheets derived from engineering drawings and customer specifications. Ensure inspection sheets clearly define dimensional, material, and process requirements. Update inspection sheets to reflect engineering changes and revision updates. Support in-process and final inspection activities with accurate documentation. Quality System Support Support corrective and preventive action documentation as needed. Ensure compliance with applicable aerospace quality standards (e.g., AS9100). Participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Document Control & Revision Management Maintain revision control of internal procedures, work instructions, forms, and quality records. Control customer-supplied drawings, specifications, and quality clauses to ensure only current revisions are in use. Distribute document updates and communicate revision changes to affected departments. Archive obsolete documents in accordance with company retention policies. Support audits by providing controlled documentation and revision history as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field preferred. 3+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing quality or document control. Direct experience creating FAIR packages per AS9102 required. Experience working within an AS9100-certified environment preferred. Technical Skills Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T, and specifications. Experience with ERP/MRP systems and document control software. Strong knowledge of aerospace documentation and traceability requirements. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Competency Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and cross-functionally.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Prolonged periods of standing and walking on the production floor. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the facility, including production and office environments. Requires manual dexterity, including the use of hands for handling, grasping, and operating equipment. Requires good hand-eye coordination and visual acuity to perform job duties safely and effectively. Ability to work in a fast-paced and noisy manufacturing environment.
INDAH Pay:
$33.50 - $38.00 per hour
