Job Description

About Diasphere Diasphere is an Austin-based BIM and VDC services company specializing in MEP coordination for Mechanical and Plumbing trades. We work on large-scale commercial projects where accuracy and coordination quality directly impact construction outcomes — and our clients keep coming back because of it. We're a tight-knit team of experienced VDC professionals. No bureaucracy, no micromanagement — just high-quality work and the autonomy to do it right. About the Role We're looking for a BIM Quality Control Lead to own technical standards and model quality across our MEP project portfolio. This is a senior, autonomous role. You'll have real ownership — defining how BIM coordination is done at Diasphere, reviewing deliverables, mentoring specialists, and driving the processes that keep our quality consistent across projects. If you've spent years coordinating MEP installs in the field and know exactly where BIM models fail contractors, you'll fit right in. What You'll Do Define and maintain BIM standards for MEP systems — modeling logic, naming conventions, workflows, and QA/QC procedures. Review and approve first deliverables across active projects for quality and constructability Identify and resolve complex coordination and clash issues; support Project Leads on technical escalations Train and mentor BIM Specialists on constructability techniques, routing logic, and quality expectations Build and refine QC checklists, model templates, and onboarding materials to improve team consistency Collaborate with the BIM Library Manager to keep families and templates aligned with project standards Lead periodic internal technical workshops on best practices and lessons learned
