Document Control Specialist Location:
Hybrid (Greater St. Louis, MO area)
FLSA Classification Non-exempt Job Description:
Orbital Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Document Control Specialist in the greater St. Louis, MO area for a hybrid work assignment. As a key member of our Team, it will be your responsibility to collect, retain, retrieve, distribute and transmit project documents including reference documents, engineering drawings, quality records and other project records. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Perform any tasks necessary to assist in accomplishing project goals, such as, filing, obtaining drawing prints or document copies, assembling reports or specifications, distributing documents both within and outside Orbital's facilities and so forth. Reviews and verifies project documents for completeness, format and compliance with contract requirements. Submits project documentation to management team for approval and transmits approved documents to customer. Distributes documentation to the project team and customers for review and comments. This position requires discretion and independent judgment with regard to support services for company and client management. May require travel to customer sites to deliver or retrieve documents in accordance with client requirements. Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma Experience handling and understanding basic drawing standards, electronic file types and components of AutoCAD Advanced computer skills for Microsoft Office suite Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills Two years of administrative experience, preferably in the AEC industry Ability to work independently and contribute administrative support to teams This position requires the ability to pass a post-offer drug (including marijuana) and alcohol test in compliance with Federal regulations and is also subject to random testing as a condition of continued employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
1+ years of experience in document control Experience working with document control systems like Meridian Documentum, Citadon or Sharepoint Experience with
AutoCAD Location Note:
This is a hybrid position. Compensation is based on market data and internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's location.
Salary Range:
$24.00/hr - $38.00/hr (based on experience, qualifications, and location)
