The Location:
Come experience "The Brushy Creek Life", located in Round Rock, Texas just minutes north of Austin. Brushy Creek Municipal Utility District enjoys the quiet rural aspects of small-town America while having proximity to cosmopolitan amenities.
The Organization:
Brushy Creek Municipal Utility District is home to 18,000+ residents. Originally formed as Williamson County Municipal Utility District No. 2 in 1977, BCMUD provides water and wastewater services, recreational activities and beautiful gardens, parks and miles of trails through the Brushy Creek community. Throughout the community BCMUD operates four swimming pools, four tennis courts, and a disc golf course. At the heart of our District is the Brushy Creek Community Center. Our Community Center features two gyms, two racketball courts, weight room, rock wall, and recreational programming which includes a variety of fun activities, educational and fitness classes. Brushy Creek employees 190 team members including part time and seasonal.
Documentation Specialist:
The Documentation Specialist is responsible for maintaining the District files, including document retention, document imaging, file management, and file research conducted for the District's management as well as responding to Open Records requests at the direction of the General Manager.
Job Duties:
Conducts records research and compiles supporting documentation for District management, legal inquiries, historical reference, projects, audits, and Public Information/Open Records requests; organize findings in a clear and accessible format for review and use. Create, maintain, and manage District files using electronic and/or manual management systems by scanning, importing, categorizing, and annotating incoming and archived documents. Maintain files, including Bonds, Deeds, Easements, Resolutions, project plans, and reports, maps, drawings, administrative files, board documents according to record retention schedules. Maintain active records report, and compiles current retention period that has reached its expiration date. Coordinate records from off-site storage to deliver records to District property. Review and verify contents to reflect the description on transfer sheets. Maintain records destruction requests for Board review and approval. Maintain and update District documentation with effective dates reflecting the current approval date signed and previous date. Retain documents, maintain records inventory, and records storage on-site and off-site as required by District, State, and Federal codes. Receive, track, and respond to Public Information and Open Records requests according to open government laws advising the General Manager and Board of Directors of the status of all requests.
Minimum Requirement:
High School Diploma or GED 3 years of administrative support experience Successfully complete the Open Records and Open Meeting certification within 30 days of employment
Preferred Skills :
Experience working with Master Record File Plan Schedule Experience working with the destruction of records.
Schedule:
Shift - Full-Time 40 hours per week - Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm
