Department:
The City of Huntsville Engineering Department's mission is to provide well-organized and cost-effective municipal engineering services to the citizens of Huntsville, the business community, as well as other Departments of the City. Our department concentrates our efforts on designing/planning, advising, administering, and overseeing Capital Improvement Projects, subdivision developments, and floodplain management with the emphasis on enhancing the economic base, protecting the public health, safety, and welfare of our neighborhoods, while improving the quality of life for the residents of Huntsville.
Projects Funding Specialist Position Overview:
This is specialized position to ensure the city is in compliance during design, acquisition, and construction of public infrastructure projects with all federal and state grant. Work involves the management of documentation and reimbursement during design, acquisition, and construction of all federal and state funded public infrastructure projects. This position is responsible for supervising Property Specialist and working closely with Engineering Technicians and others regarding tasks and activities.
Qualifications and Necessary Special Requirements:
Associate's degree (2-year) or higher from a school accredited by a regional agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education with at least 10 years of experience in engineering construction, accounting, or related field.
