This role ensures projects meet all applicable regulatory requirements by preparing and submitting permit applications, coordinating with internal teams, and maintaining accurate records throughout the permitting lifecycle. The position plays a critical role in aligning regulatory compliance with operational timelines by facilitating pre-development coordination, managing documentation, and tracking all required notifications for pre-production activities. Role/Responsibilities Coordinate deliverables, prepare and submit ECMC Form 2 applications for new oil and gas locations in compliance with Colorado Energy and Carbon Management Commission (ECMC) regulations. Initiate and process permit amendments using ECMC Form 4, ensuring timely updates and accuracy. Coordinate and lead pre-development meetings with internal development and regulatory teams to align planning efforts with permitting requirements. Populate and maintain Best Management Practices (BMPs) and Conditions of Approval (COAs) in internal tracking systems to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance. Monitor and distribute all required notifications related to pre-production operations in accordance with local and state regulations. Track permit status and maintain accurate permit data and documentation. Remain informed on changes to permitting regulations and provide guidance to internal stakeholders on compliance requirements. Tracking and ensuring compliance with Federal Aviation Administration rules and regulations. Required Qualifications & Experience Minimum 2 years' Oil and Gas/industry field experience. Familiarity with EPA Method 22, LDAR programs (OGI, AVO), and emissions monitoring protocols. Prior LDAR knowledge or related experience preferred. Previous LDAR database experience is preferred. Optical Gas Imaging (OGI) certification required. The company will pay for training if applicant has not been certified before or needs a refresher course. Use of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Vizio, Teams), Adobe Products, etc., required.
Use of basic office equipment:
scanner, copier, and PC. Industry knowledge, with strong mechanical aptitude. Experience with entering data, using multiple database platforms and coding invoices preferred. Experience or knowledge with high H2S areas and corresponding safety procedures is preferred in those areas. Will be required to wear FR apparel and other required safety equipment while in all field locations including but not limited to an H2S monitor, hard hat and approved work boots all year round. Knowledge/Skills In-depth understanding of pre- and post-drill permitting and compliance processes in the Oil & Gas industry. Comprehensive knowledge of environmental regulations and safety standards applicable to Oil & Gas operations. Familiarity with relevant local, state, and federal laws and agencies. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple permits concurrently. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records. Adaptability and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.Computer/Software Applications:
Basic level of skill and familiarity with Microsoft Office/Adobe Acrobat. Basic knowledge of company and industry specific software and related applications including IMS, ISNetworld, Wellview and Spotfire. Education Bachelor's degree required or equivalent work experience and training acceptable in lieu of degree. 3+ years of experience in supporting permitting and compliance programs within the Oil & Gas industry. Experience in Colorado required.
